The other day Bran, Whim and I completed the Sorcerer-slayer deed in Mirkwood to upgrade the virtue JUSTICE.

So I was thinking, "Wouldn't it be nice if we all shared one or two common virtues and we apportioned a little time on Monday nights to keep those common virtue(s) up-to-date?" That would mean we have fewer virtues to upgrade on our own - plus it goes so fast in a group!

So I did a little research and there are at least two virtues that work for all classes - HONOUR (at max rank it gives 38 Vitality, 3,278 Resistance, and 923 tactical Mit), and JUSTICE (at max rank it gives 214 in-combat morale regen [the highest ICMR of any virtue], 259 morale, 510 non-combat morale regen). CHARITY and ZEAL are also good for all classes unless you are over the cap for physical mits (more info on stat caps here: http://lotro-wiki.com/index.php/Stat_Caps#Stat_caps ). And if you love RESISTANCE as much as I do, you might even consider CONFIDENCE (it has Will but is super high in resistance at 3,278).

So, let me know if this idea appeals to you and if so, I will keep track and add the appropriate deeds to our schedule.

A nice table of Virtues is here: http://lotro-wiki.com/index.php/Virtues

Heads up, I will be late or missing tonight's meet. I am going to go see Logan in theaters, and I'm guessing there will be about 2 hours of previews before the movie even starts! I'll either see how far you got if I log on in time, or I'll hit someone up for how far to quest during the week.

MAY SCHEDULE

May 8 (actual)- we started Rohan!!! Did the intro quests and obtained our warsteeds.

May 15 - Rohan landscape quests starting in Harwick. Possibly some warbands!

We discussed and decided to breeze through the Eastemnet quickly so that we can focus more time on the Westemnet, doing the required quests for 4 trait points.

The West Rohan quests start in Kingstead and have a pre-requisite - we must complete epic quest Vol III, Bk 11, Ch 10 in order to activate the landscape quests which start at level 86. I assume we will need to be at least level 81 to get the quests.

The quest levels in the surrounding areas are as follows:
Entwash Vale -80
Sutcrofts - 84
Wildermore - 85

I suggest we work on Sutcrofts quests until we are at level 81 and everyone has done the epic pre-reqs (perhaps one or two weeks). Sutcrofts rep will give a port to Snowbourne which is the major hub and a very useful port to have.

As always, everyone's input is welcome : )

Our May 29 run featured quests in the Sutcrofts (East Rohan), starting in the Garsfeld mead hall, plus a few warbands. Just from last night's quests I got Acquaintance standing with Men of the Sutcrofts.

We decided to individually work towards level 81 and completing the epic quest Vol III Book 11 Ch 10. As soon as we all have that done (hopefully for next Monday June 5) we can start West Rohan, where we will do all the quests needed to get our four trait points (make us BIG and STRONG!).

If everyone does not have the level/epics done for June 5, we can continue questing in the Sutcrofts where we left off, in Snowbourne.

You can pick up the epic Vol III Book 11 from Elrond in Rivendell, even without having finished Book 10. Book 11 (our homework) takes about an hour.

Olanath can you please contact me through this website message option.

On Monday June 12/17 we started questing in West Rohan, in Kingstead. We will be doing all the required quests to get our class trait point. The current quests (not completed) are:
Curious Errands
Saddled with the Stock (for this one we agreed to do it solo before next Monday)
Sold Out
Tricks of the Trade
The Burdens of Underharrow

These are the quests we will be starting with next Monday : )

Hello my friends.

I see Mordor is coming this month! Will the epic finally conclude? Thinking about returning. What's new?

Hail Thrainik! Yes indeed, we will be venturing into the very heart of Mordor in the coming weeks. The previous update introduced a new zone - The Wastes - which takes you to the Black Gate of Sauron and is a fun and challenging zone.

Our Monday night group is still going strong (although it's not quite the same without you!). We are currently at level 88-ish and questing in West Rohan. But we will need all the help we can get to fight Sauron in Mordor!

So it would be fantastic if you rejoined us : ) I think I hear an echo.....

Come back...come back......come back...

Update August 14, 2017
We finished the Stonedeans with the instance battle in Woodhurst (remember to spend your trait point). Our homework is to finish 'The Grima Influence' quest. This can be done with no fighting if you are careful when you enter the orc camp. Grima is behind the big tent in the middle of the camp. You only need to listen to him talk and then report to Herubrand in Woodhurst.

So next Monday August 21, we will start the final zone in West Rohan, The Westfold.

A reminder to update your skirm soldier if you haven't done that in a while.

update August 29, 2017
Last night we pretty much finished West Rohan..we only need to complete the final quest entitled "To Helms Deep" to end this quest series and get our trait point.

The next zone is Western Gondor (level 95-100) which includes Dol Amroth. Since we are all only 1 or 2 levels away from 100, I am going to suggest that we minimize our time in Western Gondor and then go to Central Gondor (a level 100 area) to do the 4 area quest lines to earn 4 trait points.

If we just did the epic quest line in Western Gondor (it gives some nice rewards including an Anfalas scroll of delving, 5 reputation accelerators, a chest armor and essence) and maybe a warband run, and possibly just the Corsair camp quest that opens up the DA dailies; I believe that would take us one or two weeks - we would all level up to 99 or 100 and then we could proceed to Central Gondor. The epic quests in West Gondor do have 2 instances but both can be done in a fellowship. There is one session play.

Let me know what you guys think. I am always open to a better idea!

update Sept 5, 2017
Last night we completed Rohan and got our trait point. Yay!

We decided to move on to Western Gondor, doing the epic quest line only. We completed most of it, and are currently on the quest "Volume IV, Book 1, chapter 11 The Swan Knights" which is where we will pick up next Monday. We also did the warbands and a super quick run through the territory picking up the stables.

So for next Monday we will continue with the epics, and do the Roving Threats (you will want to pick up the RT quests in Dol Amroth), including the ones in the Dead Marshes.

There was also something about monkey brains...but you had to be there.....

update Sept 12, 2017
There were only 4 of us last night. We started with the epic quest, talking to Lothiriel, calling in the Swan Knights from the beacons and we left it there. Then we did all the Roving Threats and warbands successfully except for Mota which is a raid or at least full-fellowship RT.

*Side note here: You can use 50 RT Brand tokens to get a 1st age LI weapon (no Elder King symbol required).

For next Monday we will continue with the epic quest, we will also do another RT/warband run, and...as soon as we all are at level 100 (most of us are now) we can start doing Featured Instances to level up our LIs with scrolls of empowerment.

In honour of Bjornskal we all did a few spectacular cliff dives last night! But the highlight of the evening was when one of the warbands (the ghost ?) kept fearing Jonwise over and over..as soon as she got close he sent her running off again, maybe 15 times lol. In the end, we got our revenge....

Update October 10, 2017
We are currently questing in Dor-en-Ernil (Central Gondor). After this we will quest in Lebennin and Pelargir which will complete Central Gondor.

If we want to continue doing content that maximizes trait points then we will next do the 'Ashes and Stars' questline up to Chapter 4 in Osgiliath.

The next 2 trait points come from 2 deeds - Quests of Old Anorien (includes quests in Minas Tirith, Pelennor and Talath Anor plus the Roaming Enemies deed) and Deeds of Old Anorien (which includes Slayer of Old Anorien and Explorer of Old Anorien).

There are also 5 epic quests in Volume IV that give trait points and the Black Book of Mordor quests (which will take us into Mordor).

We can also earn 2 trait points by doing HD epic battles until we earn 300 promotion points.

This plan takes us through every zone except MT/Osgiliath-after-battle, North Ithilien and the Wastes.

All suggestions are welcome :)

Update Oct 17

We are now questing in Central Gondor, Lower Lebennin. Ost Anglebed

Current quests for next Monday are:
Constricted Offence
The Headless Serpent
Under the Shadow
Vol IV, Book 2, ch 7

It helps the group run more smoothly if everyone can show up at the start time and be on the same quests.

Thanks!
